Who We Are

RIEIOR, founded in 1991, the result of collaboration between experienced German ergonomic designers and a dedicated manufacturing team.
 Our focus lies in office equipment, educational furniture, and public space solutions, always placing human health and innovation at the center of development. Each design reflects our mission to deliver furniture that is both comfortable and beneficial to long-term well-being.

Our Story

1991-The Beginning

In 1991, RIEIOR started as a small design studio with one clear mission: to improve everyday seating. At that time, most chairs were stiff and uncomfortable, offering little relief during long working hours. Inspired by these challenges, our first designers began rethinking traditional seating, determined to create a chair that delivered genuine comfort and support.

2000-Expanding Design Horizons
After a decade of continuous research and refinement, RIEIOR introduced two international series of ergonomic office chairs. These collections blended technical upgrades with modern usability, while integrating the elegance of European and American design trends. The result was a line of seating solutions created for global adaptability and long-lasting comfort.
2018-Entering International Markets
By 2018, RIEIOR embraced international growth. While strengthening its presence in Germany, the company expanded into Italy, Spain, Portugal, and the United Kingdom. Partnerships with leading educational equipment providers allowed us to supply kindergartens, schools, and universities with tailored OEM and ODM solutions. At the same time, new subsidiaries and production bases were established in Italy, Spain, and Serbia, reinforcing our position as a pioneer in ergonomic solutions for education and workspace environments.
2024-Launching Online Retail
In 2024, with workplaces evolving and demand for ergonomic furniture at an all-time high, RIEIOR officially expanded into online retail. Backed by three decades of expertise, the brand introduced digital channels to make its ergonomic solutions more accessible worldwide. Each piece is carefully crafted to reduce the impact of sedentary lifestyles, enhance posture, and provide lasting comfort for daily use.
2025-Global Direct to Consumer
By 2025, RIEIOR entered a new stage of expansion, launching direct-to-consumer services across Germany, Italy, France, Spain, the United States, and Canada. This milestone marks our commitment to delivering health-focused furniture worldwide, offering innovative ergonomic designs that combine adaptability, value, and trust.

RIEIOR is built on the belief that exceptional comfort begins with exceptional design. Our growth has been guided by a world-class design team, led by German designer Marius Schlüitz, who serves as Chief Designer and drives innovation across RIEIOR’s ergonomic seating solutions.

Under the creative direction of Marius Schlüitz, the RIEIOR S3 Series was officially launched in November 2025 and made available through the RIEIOR official website, Amazon, and Wayfair.
The gray edition of the S3 Series was awarded the Gold Prize at the DS Modern Furniture Design Awards, a prestigious recognition that affirms RIEIOR’s excellence in design, comfort, and innovation.
